Law 1075 of 2015 states that the training of ethnoeducators will seek to promote pedagogical tools and forms that contribute to respecting and developing the identity of the ethnic groups in which they provide their services, within the framework of national diversity. To this end, the nation, in coordination with the territorial entities and in consultation with the ethnic groups, must ensure that their training complements the training required for all teachers on issues specific to ethno-education.
In addition, it points out that the competitions for the appointment of teachers from the black and Raizal communities must respond to the criteria previously established by their consultation bodies.
