This document presents an executive summary of the results of the Great Education Opinion Survey. It reveals that while most Colombians consider education important, there is a gap between their perception of its importance and its usefulness. Concerns about educational quality are evident, especially in regions like the Pacific, and school dropout is more pronounced in rural areas. While school infrastructure is generally valued positively, there are disparities between urban and rural areas. The pandemic has exacerbated concerns about learning and socio-emotional issues, with a need for greater institutional support. Although the importance of virtual education is recognized, it is perceived as lower quality than in-person education. The survey highlights the relevance of teachers and communication with the educational community, as well as the need for greater awareness of educational institutions and their actions by Colombians.
