A look at the secretariats of education in preschool, elementary and middle school. Atlantic Chapter

This document aims to analyze the management of the Certified Secretariats of Education in the context of the Atlantic and its Certified Territorial Entities (ETC), i.e., Barranquilla, Malambo, Soledad and the Secretariat of the department. Through a quantitative approach to preschool, elementary and middle school education, the analysis is divided into three sections: first, a profile of the Atlántico and its FTEs is provided, highlighting aspects such as enrollment, resource allocation and number of teachers; second, process and outcome indicators are examined to evaluate access, efficiency and quality of the education system in the region; and third, reflections are presented on issues such as coverage, poverty, dropout and learning, considering students’ access to computers and the Internet.
