Este documento analiza el impacto de la pandemia en el acceso a la educación de niños y adolescentes migrantes y refugiados, quienes ya enfrentaban desventajas socioeconómicas. En Latinoamérica, una región especialmente desigual y afectada por una gran crisis migratoria, se destacan políticas exitosas, principalmente en Colombia, que eliminan barreras burocráticas, legales y culturales para acceder a la educación durante la pandemia. Sin embargo, un desafío pendiente es la recopilación de datos para monitorear y diagnosticar sistemáticamente la situación de esta población, con el fin de diseñar programas y apoyos basados en evidencia.

This document analyzes the impact of the pandemic on access to education for migrant and refugee children and adolescents, who already faced socioeconomic disadvantages. In Latin America, a particularly unequal region affected by a major migration crisis, successful policies stand out, mainly in Colombia, that eliminate bureaucratic, legal and cultural barriers to access education during the pandemic. However, a pending challenge is the collection of data to systematically monitor and diagnose the situation of this population, in order to design evidence-based programs and supports.
